I started working with Weeshop in August 2022 as a part-time Product Designer. I was the only designer on the team and worked closely with the Project Manager, Marketing Manager, and Developers.
Weeshop provides users with information about product quality, health impact, social impact, and environmental sustainability.
Users can also enjoy healthy recipes and nutritionist recommendations.

Challenge
When I joined Weeshop, the app was struggling with an outdated design that made it difficult to compete with other apps in the niche.
The conversion rate to the premium subscription was around 0.5%, while the 3-month churn rate was about 90%.
The app lacked a consistent design system, and the elements had not been updated over time.
It was also impossible to collaborate on files because they were created in Adobe XD.
What I Did
Redesigned the Home Screen
and grocery shopping lists screen, Paywall, Tutorial, Onboarding, etc.
Launched new features:
recipes and shopping lists created by nutritionists.
Enhanced the transition from Adobe XD to Figma
Significantly improving the design process and alignment with cross-functional teams.
Redesigned Instagram feed, stories, and reels covers
Created and enriched the app’s design library
Reducing the time needed to create new design concepts by 150%.
Refactored old design artifacts
Designed App Store and Google Play screenshots

Since it's a long-term client, we conducted user research multiple times.
We performed discovery interviews, market research, and usability tests whenever we felt that the necessary changes to achieve the business goals were unclear.

Gamification
To encourage users to perform actions that align with the business goals, we introduced gamification in the app.
Perks for users: Users can earn branded accessories for healthier eating by completing missions within the app.

These efforts resulted in a 100% increase in app downloads.
